Professional Narrative
How I got here
I started my career in 2009 as an engineer at Felix Controls in Dhaka, working on industrial and commercial projects: HVAC, building automation and controls, fire protection and security systems. Most of my days were spent on site: planning work, coordinating vendors, installing and commissioning equipment, and fixing whatever broke.
In 2013 I became Managing Director of WiMs Logistics and ran it for eleven years. We built industrial and commercial facilities, fabricated and erected steel and equipment, and set up utilities for power, textile, cement and other plants. That meant budgets, procurement, teams, clients and a lot of problem-solving.
Running a business showed me how much time gets lost to scattered spreadsheets and manual work. That's what pulled me toward software and data. Today I'm building InaZubi, a multi-tenant business platform, and studying for an MS in Data Science at Monroe University. I still think like an operations person: good software should make work clearer, not more complicated.
